The good O’l NZ hospitality

Tonight, of course, was bingo night at the local, funny enough we all get talking about travelling and I mentioned I was taking my little girl up to Cape Reinga.

Well sure enough one local has a farm in Hohoura, and openly said we can have somewhere to stay as it will be a great experience for my little girl feeding calves etc.  Also, few more people offered up places to stay which is most appreciated but I always feel I’m putting people out, but maybe for my little girl’s sake and sanity, we will take up these offers.

Thanks to all that have offered places to stay it will help on hotel expenses.

Now the trip is starting to sound way too much fun my husband wants to join us now, he will be taking his motorbike which will be much more affordable on the gas.

Watch this space as the itinerary will be revealed soon it’s so exciting.

Hello NZ and the World

We are NZd’ers travelling NZ. Cazamataz and the travellingWhitbillies plan to go from Cape Reinga to Stewart Island we have no time frame but can’t wait to share all our journeys.

Planning is the key also our little girl is not the best traveller, but that’s understandable being trapped in a car seat for over 2 hrs at a time.

I was planning to start the adventure in 2 weeks but we still need to prepare our car with squabs etc.  Previous experience travelling NZ is not too cheap either so we are decking out our station wagon to be our sleeping quarters just in case. All of those backpackers out there if you have any advice when travelling with a young one please any help would be helpful.
